Seattle scores on a Will Dissly touchdown catch to make it 27-20. The Cardinals recover the onside kick and can’t run the clock out. Instead, they attempt a 58-yard field that Gonzalez misses, giving the Seahawks a chance to tie it. However, they run out of time and the Cardinals win 27-20.

Kyler Murray had 281 passing yards, completing 22-of-31 for two touchdowns and one pick. He also rushed for 14 yards. He was sacked three times.

David Johnson rushed for 83 yards on 16 carries and had three catches for 29 yards. Larry Fitzgerald led both teams with eight receptions for 110 yards and two touchdowns. Christian Kirk had six for 90 yards.

Chandler Jones and Terrell Suggs each had a sack.Seattle answers with a field goal and then Kyler Murray throws a seven-yards touchdown pass to Larry Fitzgerald to make it 13-3. The defense forces another punt and Murray finds Fitzgerald for a 29-yard touchdown.

Seattle gets a Tyler Lockett touchdown catch as time expires in the first half to make it 20-10.

In the second half, Kyler Murray throws an interception and the Seahawks respond with a field goal but the Cardinals respond. They drive down the field and Murray scores on a three-yard touchdown run to push the lead to 27-13.

In the fourth quarter, the Seahawks get deep into Cardinals territory but go for it on fourth down instead of kicking a field goal and the Cardinals stop them but punts away. The Seahawks hit the road for their second road game of this season to face the Cardinals in Glendale Sunday afternoon.

The Cardinals are winless so far this season under new head coach Kliff Kingsbury and are lead offensively by their rookie quarterback Kyler Murray, winner of the Heisman Trophy last season.

Glendale doesn’t have the best memories for the Seahawks: Super Bowl 49, Kam Chancellor, Richard Sherman, Earl Thomas and Will Dissly injuries, but the outcome has been pretty good for the Hawks their past six trips to the desert as they are 5-0-1 against the Cardinals in Arizona. That’s the second longest active streak of road games against a divisional opponent without a loss.

Chris Carson’s mission this week is to not only help the Seahawks find their groove with the running game, but also hold on to the football. Carson had three fumbles in the past two games, and last week it was costly as his fumble led to a defensive touchdown by the Saints. Carson can hold onto the football. He touched the ball 267 times last season in 14 games and had only three fumbles, so he can keep possession of the ball. He’s just had a rough couple games.

While turnovers are costly and can be the decisive factor in a game, Carson won’t be benched. Pete Carroll said this week he has total belief in what Carson can do and isn’t about to give up on his runningback. “You’re going to see absolute support for our guy,” Carroll said on Wednesday. “He’s a great football player. We love him. You’re going to see what that looks like. There’s been a lot of players over the years, through the ages that have had issues at times. They put it to rest and it’s behind them and all that. That’s what’s going to happen here.”

The Cardinals defense held Chris Carson to 57 yards on 14 carries. Russell Wilson had 275 passing yards and two scores. DK Metcalf led the team with eight receptions for 75 yards. Tyler Lockett had as many receiving yards but on six catches. Tight end Will Dissly had six catches for 50 yards and a score.

This will be the Seahawks first look at the Kliff Kingsbury Air Raid Offense and rookie quarterback Kyler Murray. The Cardinals are throwing the football more than any team in the league and the Seahawks will certainly see a hefty dose of balls in the air when the Cardinals are on offense. Kyler Murray is currently attempting just under 46 passes a game. At that pace he will set an NFL record. For now, a lot of those passes have been short ones, the underneath type of completions that Andy Dalton and the Bengals victimized the Seahawks defense with in week one.

This will be a week that the Seahawks secondary will be tested. As for those short passing routes that have given the Seahawks fits, Shaquill Griffin wants to tighten up the defense. “We’re just going to play a little tight coverage,” he said. “We’re just going to play a lot tighter. That’s something that we’re just looking forward to, is the challenge. We know what he can do. He’s good at extending plays. Those little short passes that are really quick and that he tries to hit. At the end of the day he can extend those plays. Those guys that are sitting short can go deep and those are the type of plays that we need to be ready for, and that’s going to happen.”
